Kyoto Restaurant by Padma Group

Designed by: Crudi Halperin & Yaron Zakut

Japanese design influences are discernible through most of the Padma group’s portfolio. These influences were first explored in the highly successful and unique Japanese fusion restaurant and sushi bar, Kyoto, which was established by the group in Israel in 1995 to international acclaim.Kyoto has been described as one of the top restaurants in the world, where bookings for a table often have to be made a fortnight in advance. People flock to the restaurant to immerse themselves in a stunning combination of interior design, individualized art, amazing food and wonderfully eccentric people. The Japanese design influences have brought an underlying sense of harmony, balance and tranquility to all that the group has been involved in.The famous cultural centre of Kyoto, once the imperial capital of Japan, was the inspiration for this chain of landmark Japanese fusion restaurants. The restaurant’s unique design has heavily influenced its enormous success, which has often been described as an intersection of the now famous New York style and the East.
